Schopenhauer again brings will in to his definition of music along with everything else that he explains. But what was interesting to me that he brought up that a high pitch is always with a low tone and so far no one else has mentioned that in their definition of music. another thing that caught my eye was the fact that he brought will into music "This corresponds to the fact that no matter is perceivable without form and quality, in other words, without the manifestation of a force incapable of further explanation, in which an Idea expresses itself, and, more generally, that no matter can be entirely without will" (258). In this case he is describing music as matter that can not be described in words, is my view of it.
