Response to Prompt 09-21-11

I believe Schopenhauer thinks art is so special because each piece of art is unique in its own way. No piece of art is the same. We might not be able to make the distinct difference between pieces of art, but they are there. He mentions how an artists, through his artwork, allows us to see into the world how he sees it. I believe that it's a true statement. When looking at a piece of art we see the world how the artist saw it to us. Not everyone is going to have the same view of what they think the artists view was, but nonetheless they are still going to have a view of they think the view of the artist was.
