Response to 9/26
I honestly couldn't wrap my mind around this chapter. Shopenhauer has good points, but he's also missing the feeling and soul of music and art. People who are musicians or artists in any sense of the word put their heart and soul into it. Peoples opinions of different types of expression are as different as every human alive. People can hear one type of music that is described as "happy" and to them it could sound angry. It all depends on what the person associates that sound with, people all experience music and art differently. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
