This chapter was really interesting. I like that Schopenhauer mentions music being its own art form. I fully agree with this. There are two types of art: visual and performing. Music is in the performing catagory. You have to play music in order to create it. It can't just be a random noise, unless, of course, someone gets a record label and puts it onto a CD. Everyone associates with music differently. There can be a sad song that can give someone a happy memory, but the same song could give someone else a terrible memory. Music is different to schopenhauer.
