Schopenhauer views reality as the representation of the world as known to the subject through experiences in space and time with the object. He views the individual as a subject and the body as an object. Objects lie in space and time, and can have plurality , meaning that there may be many objects that can interact. The subject, does not lie in space and time and is "the knower never the known." Only one is needed to create a reality through representation. The object needs the subject and the subject needs the object in order to create their own representation. These two halves are what make up Schopenhauer basic view of reality, his world of representation.
