Schopenhauer views Music as the ultimate form of art. All other arts are a representation of ideas, which are objectification of Will. Painting, photography, sculpting; all of these can convey an idea. What separates Music from these other forms of art is that Music is the representation of Will itself. A composition may convey an idea or a theme, but it still possesses the physical manifestation of one's Will. I also enjoyed Schopenhauer's view of Music in relation to Nature; how music, like nature, is infinite, making both life and expression of Will infinite.
