I really enjoyed when Schopenhauer said the reason for music's inexpressible depth or mystery, they reason it is so mysterious, loved, and yet so undefineable is that "music can reproduce all emotions from our innermost being, but entirely without reality and remote from its pain."
I completely agree with this, because music is able to create emotion without having the physical world affect it, almost like its own reality. A reality that we can not see, hear, nor touch. Music is a realm that almost seems to exist on it's own dimension, by it's own rules, or possibly no rules at all. It is the only one thing that is capable of evoking any emotion, while the same piece of music may evoke an entire different mood or emotion for the next person. Music is the only thing that can be physically always be right, no matter what, and morally never be wrong.
