I read through the reading a few times, and really struggled to figure out how one should live and how the arts fit into it. It honestly puzzled me to the highest degree.. and now I still don't quite understand. It just seems like he's repeating a past piece.. as the future piece.. which makes me run in circles...
I agree that Schopenhauer seems to go around in circles. He keeps saying the same thing over and over again, maybe hoping that his readers, the common man, will understand what he is trying to say. I was pretty confused also. He says those that find peace no longer have will, thus no representation and no world. Does that mean the person does not exist? The human is no longer a human in the human form?
