Response 11/2/11

To Nietzsche, Brahms and Wagner are very similar, as they both try to deceive people through their music. Both wish to gain some sort of fame through it. Brahms served the purpose of posing a threat to Wagner as competition. Aside from this purpose, Nietzsche saw very little difference between Wagner and Brahms.
