Higgins feels that music contributes to ethics by realizing that music has the ability to form, change, and/or manipulate a person's perspective on surroundings and thoughts. With all of the contributing factors going into music (rhythm, melodic and harmonic arrangement, lyrics, vocals, sound quality, etc...) there is something that a person can relate to, ultimately coloring the way what ever is being sang or told to fit other situations that one also relates to (I personally feel that it is more so the melodies in music, which I feel colors the song or creates the mood [and the rhythm or beat of a song let's us know what intensity we should take the song]) and changes the way people look at things (life, war, love, etc...)
This could effect how each individual perceives what is going on.
