Today's class was extremely interesting. In fact, discussing Hegel and Beethoven together really, really intrigued me. I feel the zeitgeist today would be the constant changes and additions to music, including the sub-genres of genres and new waves of playing instruments and completely destroying the norm. For instance, changing to different or odd time signatures or attempting to play something even more dissonant than ever before.
It was also interesting to formulate ideas and concepts with music and philosophy points with a partner from Prof. Pane's class-- the ideas came together quite well, even with different ideas and concepts. Really cool.
