Higgins says that music contributes to social interactions by forming a connection between people. Music has intertwining ideas and symbolism that helps people connect with each other. Music doesn't show anything than it actually is. I agree to this because it's nice to connect with someone about a favorite song or band. Each song means something different to everyone, but to be able to bond with someone over similar musical meanings only adds more to the significance of music in the social world.

i enjoy the fact that music intertwines ideas and symbolism. this too then connects with people, which is also a nice thing. i'm glad we also discussed things like this in class earlier as well.
