Langer brings on the idea that since we all have different perceptions and music as discussed multiple times before brings out certain emotions and scenarios from our past, that it is an illusion that brings out these thoughts and emotions. While music is also a manipulation of time, mentally speaking it moves people putting them in different events that have happen throughout their lives.
